Ladies Vintage Black 100% Wool Hat by Henry
Pollak, NY
This
classic ladies hat could almost be considered a cloche
style. It has a wide bell shaped brim, with a 1 1/2"
silky black band above. The sensational part of this
100% wool hat is the eye-catching floral applique made
of black sequins and black beads, that measures approximately
5" x 7". It definitely adds an element of
flair and pizzazz to this black beauty. On the inside
top of the hat, it says "Countess" (evidently
the style), and Henry Pollak, Inc, New York. A tag stitched
to the inside rim says, "Originals by LeeBury of
Dallas." The Union Made label says EQ370058 in
U.S.A., and the number 6, which I assume is the size.

Vintage Ladies FEATHERED Hat
~ Stunning ~ With Box !!!!
This
is a beautiful hat, completely covered on the exterior
right up to the edge of the brim; with brilliantly colored
feathers of unknown origin, they are really gorgeous!
The lining is all black. The brim area is a velvet material,
the band is grossgrain and the rest of the lining looks
to be taffeta. There is also a thin chin strap. The
circumference is aprox 21" There are no markings
on the hat or the box that I can see. The hat is is
good condition, there are no areas where the feathers
are missing. The box is in "delicate" condition,
there are some places that are starting to split at
the seamed areas, overall the box looks good considering
its age. The handles are intact, and the bottom is also
still attached.
