Mid-19th Century Victorian 14K Gold Serpent Bracelet
Excellent
condition, extremely unique Mid-19th Century Victorian
14K Gold Serpent Bracelet. This is a hinged bracelet
made out of 14 karat yellow and rose gold. The snake's
head features 2 distinct small red rubies for eyes.
There is one issue with the bracelet in that the snake's
lower jaw is cracked where the tail sits - it doesn't
inhibit the bracelet's functionality, but is apparent.
The
bracelet measures approximately 6" inches in diameter
and weighs exactly 17 grams.

The
Griffin descended from the famous composites of Babylon
and Persia; winged, eagle headed, goat-bearded & lion-bodied.
As the symbol of the seasons the Griffin became the guardian
of the sun, of the Golden Apples, of the jewels and the

Brass Victorian Skirt Finger Ring Chatelaine
This
authentic antique victorian chatelaine handkerchief/skirt
clip appears to be made of solid Brass, and appears to
have a thin coat of protective lacquer finish. It is non-magnetic.
It is suspended on a woven box style Brass chain from
a brass finger ring. All components of this antique etched
Brass Victorian chatelaine are original. The brass clip
is beautifully etched in a decorative floral motif on
both the top and bottom, and along the front (as seen
in PICs). "This type of chatelaine was clipped onto
a segment of the lower portion of a large victorian skirt,
and the finger ring slipped onto a finger, it's purpose
being to elegantly glide a lady through the streets while
allowing her to keep her skirt from dragging on the ground."
This can also be used for a heavier weighted ladies handkerchief
as the front of the clip has four (4) teeth to grasp fabric
securely. Finger ring measures a size 8. The woven box
style Brass chain is 3 and 1/2" in length. The Brass
chatelaine handkerchief/skirt clip is 2 and 1/4"
in length. The Brass chatelaine handkerchief/skirt clip
is nearly 1" in width (it is 31/32" to be exact),
and 1/2" in depth. ID=Victorianskirtchatelaine
This
is a darling scent bottle necklace with four oblong
yellow guilloche insets along the chain.. This says
something I can't make out and Sterling on the inside.
Measuring 1" long by 5/8 wide this acorn shaped
scent bottle releases the fragrance through the openings
where it screws together. (also listed under miniature
perfume bottles). The chain matches the vessel but it
apears to be gold. The chain is 20 inches long and the
scent container being 5/8ths for a total of 21".
This is a rare and unusual piece sure to be a great
addition to your perfume bottle collection or your jewelry
collection. I believe this is late 1800's or early 1900's.
