Brass Victorian Skirt Finger Ring Chatelaine
This
authentic antique victorian chatelaine handkerchief/skirt
clip appears to be made of solid Brass, and appears to
have a thin coat of protective lacquer finish. It is non-magnetic.
It is suspended on a woven box style Brass chain from
a brass finger ring. All components of this antique etched
Brass Victorian chatelaine are original. The brass clip
is beautifully etched in a decorative floral motif on
both the top and bottom, and along the front (as seen
in PICs). "This type of chatelaine was clipped onto
a segment of the lower portion of a large victorian skirt,
and the finger ring slipped onto a finger, it's purpose
being to elegantly glide a lady through the streets while
allowing her to keep her skirt from dragging on the ground."
This can also be used for a heavier weighted ladies handkerchief
as the front of the clip has four (4) teeth to grasp fabric
securely. Finger ring measures a size 8. The woven box
style Brass chain is 3 and 1/2" in length. The Brass
chatelaine handkerchief/skirt clip is 2 and 1/4"
in length. The Brass chatelaine handkerchief/skirt clip
is nearly 1" in width (it is 31/32" to be exact),

Victorian Gold Diamond GRIFFIN Pendant 18k
This
antique Victorian gold diamond GRIFFIN pendant weights
19.8g. It measures 41mm long and 28.5 in diameter and
6mm deep. Constructed in 18k this pendant with hand-carved
detailing portrays a coiled Griffin which stole a 0.20ct
European-cut diamond E color and SI2 clarity which weights
an estimated 0.20ct., held in his jaw. This original
pendant with sturdy bail is absolutely gorgeous - one
of a kind - and looks rich in the 18k gold.
Originally purchased from Fay Cullen, Inc., Bay Harbor
Florida in 2004 it comes with all original paperwork.

It measures from the top ring to the bottom of the pendant
7/8 inch. Width 5/8 inch. Weight 2.1 grams. This is
a beautiful Plique-A-Jour and pearl pendant. Guaranteed

appearance of plique-a-jour enamels readily brings to
mind the skilled craftsmanship of great Art Nouveau
jewelers and artists such as Rene Lalique, Louis Comfort
Tiffany, and Peter Carl Faberge . Considered a technical
"tour de force" in enameling, this most beautiful
and most difficult of enameling techniques - plique-a-jour
, (which loosely translates as "light of day")
- is sometimes referred to as "backless cloisonné"
because of the appearance of the fine silver or gold
filigree wire "veins" running through areas
of transparent and translucent glass (vitreous) enamel
. Fine silver and 18K gold jewelry medallions resemble
